🚨 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗠.𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵 𝗦𝘁𝗶𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗮 🚨

For nearly a decade (𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟭𝟰), the monthly stipend for 𝗠.𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗮 has remained fixed at ₹𝟭𝟮,𝟰𝟬𝟬, despite the rising cost of living. With inflation soaring and cities becoming more expensive, many scholars pursuing higher education face significant financial struggles. 𝗠.𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 are not just learners—they contribute to India’s research and innovation in areas like AI, Data Science, Climate Technology, Renewable Energy, and Healthcare, driving the nation's global progress.

1️⃣ 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗻𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗦𝘁𝗶𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝟵 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 The stipend for M.Tech students has not been revised since 2014, while inflation and the cost of essentials like accommodation, food, and academic resources have increased.

2️⃣ 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗴𝗴𝗹𝗲𝘀 Many scholars are struggling to meet basic needs, as cities housing top institutions see steep rent and living cost increases. This forces students to depend on family support or part-time jobs, distracting from their research.

3️⃣ 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗼𝗻 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 Financial stress hampers students’ ability to focus, directly affecting the quality of research and India’s technological contributions, including initiatives like "Digital India" and "Make in India."

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗪𝗲’𝗿𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴

𝗜𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝘁𝗶𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱: Adjust it to reflect current inflation and living costs.

𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗱𝗶𝗰 𝗨𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀: Regular revisions to keep the stipend relevant. Timely Disbursement: Ensure students receive their stipends on time.

𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗡𝗼𝘄? The stipend has been stagnant for 9 years. If India wants to lead in research and technology, it must support its scholars financially. Revising the stipend will empower them to contribute more effectively to national progress.
